Xtreme Showcases North America’s Largest Telehandler at AWEA Windpower ’16 Show

New Orleans, LA (May 24, 2016) – Xtreme Manufacturing and Snorkel will introduce their products to the wind energy industry at the annual AWEA Windpower Show, taking place in New Orleans this week.

Las Vegas-based, Xtreme Manufacturing will showcase the Xtreme XR7038, the largest capacity rough terrain telehandler in North America, that can lift loads up to 70,000 lbs. They will also display the Xtreme XR2045 telehandler, that can lift loads up to 20,000 lbs, and has a lift height of up to 45 ft. Sister brand, Snorkel, will show its new feature-packed 660SJ telescopic boom lift, that has a maximum working height of 72 ft 8 in, and a lifting capacity of 600 lbs – ideal for two operators plus tools and equipment.

North America’s Largest Capacity Telehandler

The multi-award winning Xtreme XR7038 is North America’s largest capacity rough terrain telehandler. Designed to lift up to 70,000 lbs, the XR7038 is suited to heavy-duty applications, such as loading and unloading turbine hubs.

Weighing in at 115,000 lbs, and equipped with 6 ft tall foam filled tires, the all-steel XR7038 is powered by a 300hp Tier IV Final engine and a 150-gallon steel fuel tank. Featuring a fork positioning carriage as standard, the XR7038 has a lift height of up to 38 ft and a forward reach of up to 22 ft.

Xtreme XR2045: Built for the Toughest Environments

The Xtreme XR2045 is a high capacity rough terrain telehandler, designed to handle the toughest environments. This heavy-duty, all-steel telehandler can lift up to 20,000 lbs, and has a maximum lift height of up to 45 ft. It shares the same standard features as the rest of the Xtreme telehandler range, including 360° operator visibility from the cab, long-life boom rollers instead of wear pads for smoother boom operation and reduced maintenance, and an integrated boom lift point.

The boom lift point is designed to safely handle suspended loads and can lift the maximum rated load of the telehandler, in this case, 20,000 lbs. This makes it ideal for applications such as lifting turbine blades during the transportation process from the manufacturing facility to the site.

All Xtreme telehandlers are backed by an industry leading 10yr-5yr-2yr warranty, and are built in the USA.

Xtreme Cubes: Practical Solutions for Jobsite Facilities

Built by Xtreme Manufacturing in the USA, Xtreme Cubes are portable, fully customizable structures that can be used for a wide range of temporary and permanent applications. Utilizing a steel frame that is structurally sound, known as a ‘space frame’ and fork lift pockets, the cubes can be stacked or combined to create an unlimited range of multi-story facilities. They can be easily disassembled, transported and reassembled, with minimal cost and in a short time frame.

The heavy-duty design means they can be used in all types of environments, making them ideal for offices, storage and maintenance facilities in wind turbine farms, as well as restrooms for transportation and logistics yards, and security gatehouses for manufacturing plants.

Xtreme Cubes can also be used to create temporary and permanent residential facilities, including living quarters for installation teams in remote environments. The cubes can be fitted out with windows, insulation, interior paneling and trim, electricity, plumbing, HVAC and data, allowing the installation of fully functioning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living spaces with TV, internet and other modern comforts, providing a practical and economical on-site alternative to hotels for temporary workers.
